American Fantasy
French, Hélice Hélas Editeur, 2022
In «American Fantasy», the young artist Quentin Coet plays with the norms of Pop Culture. In the emblematic locations of B series, humans seem to have abandoned the streets and places of sociability. Nothing remains except scenes of ordinary life populated by deformed beings. Beneath the glossiness of an ideal world, something seems to have shattered. The reproduction of images no longer simply regurgitates the canon, but produces its own monsters.
